Travel:

  • Our projects range from California to New York. They consist of renovating the interior and exterior of existing hotels, big box stores and apartments. You must be ok with traveling extensively for your projects. Travel expectations are 20-35%

Knowledge/Experience:

  • General construction knowledge is required. Familiarity with painting, flooring, VWC, drywall, counter tops, suspended ceilings, FF&E installation, windows, tuckpointing, sealants, scaffolding, and staging, etc. is required. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, EIFS and HVAC is preferred.

Duties:

  • Hire, manage and supervise sub-contractors. Solicit bids from subs, build proposals, hire subs, create work orders, build and execute the schedules and establish and monitor quality standards.
  • Manage construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; authorizing payroll, identifying variances; evaluating, and negotiating change orders.
  • Maintain and build relationships with client by providing competitive and accurate bids, delivering great service and innovative solutions.
  • Build and lead a team to renovate existing properties on time and on budget.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Starting Salary: USD $1,500 – $2,500 Per Week
  • Job Purpose: Complete light commercial construction projects on time and on budget by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; and supervising sub-contractors.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years, Manager or Supervisor of Staff
  • Education: High School or equivalent
  • Skills/Qualifications: Project Management, quality management, supervision, managing profitability, delegation, supply management, attention to detail, quality focus

Knowledge/Experience:

  • General construction knowledge is required. Familiarity with painting, flooring, sealants, eifs, wallcovering, suspended ceilings, siding installation, window installation, concrete, etc. is required.

Duties:

  • Manages and supervises sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance. You will act as our representative on site. You will be managing the customer experience on site.
  • Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction improvements.
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information.
  • Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
  • Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtaining approvals from owners.
  • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
